हमें लाओत्से के आधार पर नए विज्ञान की इमारत खड़ी करनी चाहिए । क्यों ? क्योंकि यह हारने और जीतने की भाषा हिंसा की भाषा है। और प्रकृति को जीता नहीं जा सकता। और प्रकृति को जीतने की कोशिश वैसा ही पागलपन है, जैसा मेरे हाथ की एक अंगुली मेरे पूरे शरीर को जीतने की कोशिश करे। वह कभी जीत नहीं पाएगी। हां, लड़ने में और परेशान होगी। जीत तो कभी नहीं सकती है। और आदमी बहुत परेशान हो गया है। और जब आदमी प्रकृति से जीतने की भाषा में सोेचता है, तो आदमी और आदमी भी लड़ने की भाषा में सोेचते हैं, लड़ना उनके चिंतन का ढंग हो जाता है।
लाओत्से के हिसाब से जब तक दुनियां में स्त्रैण-चित्त प्रभावी नहीं होता, तब तक दुनियां से युद्ध समाप्त नहीं किए जा सकते हैं। और
यह बात थोड़ी सच मालूम पड़ती है। स्त्रियां युद्ध में बिलकुल भी उत्सुक नहीं हैं। कभी नहीं रहीं। अगर पुरुष ने उन्हें समझा-बुझा कर भी युद्ध पर जाते वक्त टीका लगवाने को राजी कर लिया, तो उनकी जो मुस्कुराहट थी टीका लगाते वक्त, वह झूठी थी। और उनकी
मुस्कुराहट के पीछे सिवाय आंसुओं के और कुछ भी नहीं था। और पुरुष को विदा करके सिवाय स्त्रियों ने रोने के और कुछ भी नहीं
किया है। क्योंकि युद्ध में कोई भी हारे और कोई भी जीते, स्त्री तो अनिवार्य रूप से हारती ही है। युद्ध में कोई भी जीते, कोई भी
हारे, स्त्री तो हारती ही है। युद्ध में कोई भी मरे और कोई भी बचे, स्त्री तो हारती ही है। या उसका बेटा मरता है, या उसका पति

लेकिन स्त्रियों का कोई प्रभाव नहीं है; स्त्रैण-चित्त का कोई प्रभाव नहीं है। और जब तक पुरुष-चित्त प्रभावी है, दुनियां से युद्ध नहीं मिटाए जा सकते। पुरुष के सोेचने का ढंग ऐसा है कि अगर उसे युद्ध के खिलाफ भी आंदोलन चलाना हो, तो भी उसका ढंग युद्ध
का ही होता है। अगर वह शांति का आंदोलन भी चलाता है, तो भी उसकी मुट्ठियाँ भिंची होती हैं और डंडे उसके हाथ में होते हैं। वे कहते हैं, शांति लेकर रहेंगे! शांति स्थापित करके रहेंगे! लेकिन उसका जो ढंग है, वह शांति स्थापित करने भी जाए , जुझारू ही बना रहता है।
