अगर महावीर और बुद्ध ने सम्राट होने का पद छोड़ा, तो इसलिए नहीं की सम्राट का पद छोड़ने से कोई अहंकार छूट जाएगा; बल्कि
इसलिए की जिनका अहंकार छूट गया, उन्हें अब सम्राट होने की कोई भी जरूरत नहीं है। अब वे सम्राट हैं। अब वे किस दिशा में हैं और कहां हैं, इससे कोई भी भेद नहीं पड़ता। इररेलेवेंट! अब बुद्ध जो हैं, भिक्षा का पात्र लेकर भीख मांग सकते हैं; लेकिन बुद्ध की आंखों में भीख खोजे से भी नहीं मिलेगा। कम से कम भिखारी अगर कोई आदमी इस जमीन पर हुआ है, तो वह बुद्ध है। और सबसे ज्यादा भीख उसने मांगी है। हाथ में तांबा का पात्र है।
असल में, अब वह इतना निश्चिंत है अपने सम्राट होने के प्रति कि भिखारी का पात्र कोई फर्क नहीं लाता है। खयाल रखना, इतना निश्चिंत है! अपने सम्राट होने की बात इतनी पक्की हो गई है अब कि अब भीख मांगने से कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता है। हम अगर डरते हैं भीख मांगने में, तो उसका कारण यह नहीं है कि हम भीख मांगने में डरते हैं। उसका कारण यह है कि हम भीख मांगें, तो हम भिखारी ही हो जाएंगे। भीतर के सम्राट का तो हमें कोई भी पता नहीं है। भीख मांगी कि भिखारी हो गए । जो हम करते हैं, वही हम हो जाते हैं। महावीर और बुद्ध भीख मांग सके शान से सम्राट की। उसका कारण था। इतने आश्वस्त हो गए ; जिस दिन अंतिम अपने को खड़ा किया, उसी दिन प्रथम होना स्वभाव हो गया।
लाओत्से कहता है, ―इसलिए तत्वविद अपने व्यक्तित्व को पीछे रखते हैं, फिर भी वे सबसे आगे पाए जाते हैं।’

There is a copper vessel in the hand.
In fact, now he is so sure about his emperor that the character of beggar does not make any difference. Take care, it is so relaxed! The matter of being your emperor has become so confirmed that now begging does not matter. If we are afraid of begging, it is not because we are afraid of begging. The reason for this is that if we beg, we will become beggars. We have no idea of the inner emperor. Begged that he became a beggar. What we do, we become. Mahavira and Buddha could beg the emperor gracefully. It had a reason. Became so confident; On the day that the last one stood up, it became natural to be the first.
