पुराने युगों में यह नियमित व्यवस्था थी कि गुरु अगर देखता कि कोई तर्क करने आ गया, तो उसे उस जगह भेज देता, जहां तर्क ही चलता था। ताकि किह तर्क से थक जाए , परेशान हो जाए । और इतना ऊब जाए कि एक दिन आकर वह कहे कि यह तर्क बहुत कर लिया, कुछ मिला नही; अब कोई ऐसी बात कहें, जिससे कुछ हो जाए।
तब लाओत्से जैसे आदमी बोलते हैं।
समझ का अर्थ है, आपके भीतरी तल तक पहुंच जाए कोई बात। लेकिन तर्क कभी न पहुँचने देगा। और हम तर्क से ही समझना
चाहते हैं। और तर्क ही उपद्रव है; वही पहरेदार है। वह कहता है, पहले मुझे समझाओ। अगर मुझे समझाओ, तो मैं मालिक से मिला दूँ। और अगर मुझे ही नहीं समझा पाते हो, तो मैं मालिक से क्या मिलाऊं ? और फिर कठिनाई यह है कि जब वह समझ जाता है, तो वह समझता है, समझ गए , मालिक हो गए । जैसे मैं जो ध्यान का प्रमोग करता हूं, वह बिलकुल बुद्धिहीन है। तो बुद्धिमान उसको देख कर ही भाग जाएगा। वह कहेगा, यह क्या
हो रहा है कि लोग नाच रहे हैं, चिल्ला रहे हैं, कूद रहे हैं। पागल हैं! लेकिन जो आदमी नाच रहा है, कूद रहा है, वह बुद्धि के तल से
नीचे उतर गया। क्योंकि बुद्धि तो सेंसस का काम करती है। वह कहती है, क्यों हंस रहे हो? अभी कोई हंसने की बात ही नहीं। पहले हंसने की बात तो होने दो, फिर हंसना। कहती है, क्यों रो रहे हो ? अभी कोई रोने की बात ही नहीं। क्यों कूद रहे हो? कोई जमीन में आंच लगी है, आग लगी है कि तुम कूद रहे हो! ये क्यों घूंसे तान रहे हो हवा में ? पहले किसी को गाली देने दो, फिर घूंसा उठाना। बुद्धि पूरे समय यह कह रही है कि जो तुम कर रहे हो, वह तर्कयुक्त हो। लेकिन जिंदगी में कभी भी कुछ तर्कयुक्त किया है ? जब किसी से प्रेम हो जाएगा, तब बुद्धि कहां होगी? और जब किसी से क्रोध हो जाएगा, तब बुद्धि कहां होगी ? और जब किसी को मारने का मन हो जाएगा या मरने का मन हो जाएगा, तब बुद्धि कहां होगी ? तो जिंदगी की जहां असली जरूरतें हैं, वहां तो बुद्धि होगी नहीं। और उन गहरे बिंदुओं तक आप कभी उतर न पाएंगे, बुद्धि की बात मान कर चलेंगे तो। ध्यान के सब प्रयोग आपकी बुद्धि की पर्त को तोड़ने के प्रयोग हैं! वह आपकी एक दफा पर्त टूट जाए , तो आप कदम सरल हो जाते हैं। और जब आप सरल हो जाते हैं, तो आपके पास एक अंतर्दृष्टि होती है,जहां से चीजें साफ दिखाई पड़ती हैं। तब यह सवाल कभी नहीं उठता कि मेरी समझ में आ गया क्रांति नहीं हुई। समझ में आ जाना ही क्रांति है। टु नो इज़ टु बी ट्रांसफामर्ड । नालेज इज़
