ज्ञानी जिस चीज के संपर्क में आता है, उसी को जीवन प्रदान करता है। किंतु अधिकृत नहीं करता, उसका मालिक नहीं बनता है।
जीवन देता है, सब दे देता है जो उसके पास देने को है, लेकिन फिर भी अधिकार स्थापित नहीं करता। क्योंकि लाओत्से कहता है, जिस
पर तुमने अधिकार स्थापित किया, उसे तुमने बगावत के लिए भड़काया ; जिस पर तुमने मलकियत कायम की, उसको तुमने दुश्मन बनाया; जिसकी तुमने स्वतंत्रता छीनी, उसे तुमने स्वच्छंद होने के लिए उकसाया। अधिकृत नहीं करता ज्ञानी। जो भी है, दे देता है,लेकिन देने के साथ लेने की कोई शर्त नहीं बनाता। अगर प्रेम देता है, तो नहीं कहता कि प्रेम वापस लौटाओ। लौट आता है, तो स्वीकार कर लेता है; नहीं लौट आता, तो स्वीकार कर लेता है। लौट आने पर भिन्नता नहीं है; नहीं लौट आ , तो भेद नहीं है। कोई अर्धकार स्थापित नहीं करता।
लाओत्से कहता है कि ज्ञानी जीवन प्रदान करते हैं, अधिकृत नहीं करते।
असल में, ज्ञानी सुख का राज जानता है, रहस्य जानता है। जो हम करते हैं, उससे उलटी है उसकी स्थिति। चूंकि वह अधिकृत नहीं करता, इसलिए अगर कोई कर जाता है, तो सुख पाता है; अगर कोई नहीं कर जाता, तो दुःख का कोई कारण नहीं है, क्योंकि अपेक्षा कोई थी ही नहीं की कोई करे।

The knowledgeable person gives life to whatever he comes in contact with. But does not authorize, does not become its owner.
Life gives, gives all that it has to give, but still does not establish authority. Because Lao Tzu says that
But you established authority, you provoked him to revolt; You made the enemy on whom you have mastered; The one you snatched freedom, you encouraged him to be free.
Knowledgeable does not authorize. Whatever it is, gives, but does not make any condition to take with giving. If love gives, it doesn't say
To return that love. Returns, then accepts; If he does not return, he accepts. No variation on return
is; If you don't come back, there is no difference. Does not establish a crescent.
Laotse says that the learned provide life, not authorize it.
Actually, the knower knows the secret of happiness, knows the secret. What we do is the opposite of that. Since it is not authorized
Do, so if one does, one gets happiness; If nobody does, then there is no reason for sorrow, because there was no expectation that anyone should.
