पुरोहित, नीतिवादी, तथाकथित धार्मिक लोग, पोप, शंकराचार्य, और दूसरे लोग काम की सतत निंदा करते है। वे कहते है कि यह एक कुरूप चीज है। और तुम इसका दमन करते रहते हो तो यह सचमुच कुरूप हो जाती है। तब वे कहते है कि देखो, जो हम कहते थे वह सच निकला। तुमने ही इसे सिद्ध कर दिया। तुम जो भी कर रहे हो वह कुरुप है, और तुम जानते हो कि वह कुरूप है। लेकिन काम स्वयं कुरूप नहीं है। पुरोहित ने उसे कुरूप कर दिया है। और जब वे इसे कुरुप कर चूकते है तब वे सही साबित होते है। और जब वे सही साबित होते है तो तुम उसे कुरुप से कुरुप तर्क किए देते हो। काम तो निर्दोष ऊर्जा है। तुम में प्रवाहित होता जीवन है, जीवंत अस्तित्व है। उसे पंगु मत बनाओ। उसे उसके शिखर की यात्रा करने दो। उसका अर्थ है कि काम को प्रेम बनना चाहिए। फर्क क्या है ?
जब तुम्हारा मन कामुक होता है तो तुम दूसरे का शोषण कर रहे हो। दूसरा मात्र एक यंत्र होता है। जिसे इस्तेमाल करके फेक देना है। और जब काम प्रेम बनता है तब दूसरा यंत्र नहीं होता दूसरे का शोषण नहीं किया जाता, दूसरा सच में दूसरा नहीं होता। तब तुम प्रेम करते हो तो यह सव्-केंद्रित नहीं है। उस हालत में तो दूसरा ही महत्वपूर्ण होता है। अनूठा होता है। तब तुम एक दूसरे का शोषण नहीं करते, तब दोनों एक गहरे अनुभव में सम्मिलित हो जातेहो। साझीदार हो जाते हो। तुम शोषक और शोषित न होकर एक दूसरे को प्रेम की और ही दुनियां में यात्रा करने में सहायता करते हो। काम शोषण है, प्रेम एक भिन्न जगत में यात्रा है।
अगर यह यात्रा क्षणिक न रहे, अगर यह यात्रा ध्यानपूणर्ण हो जाए, अर्थात अगर तुम अपने को बिलकुल भूल जाओ और प्रेमी
प्रेमिका विलीन हो जाएं और केवल प्रेम प्रवाहित होता रहे, तो शिव कहते है—‘’शाश्वत जीवन तुम्हारा है।‘’
