किसी भी आंदोलन के सूत्रऩात की श्रेष्ठता उसकी सामयिकता में है।’
कोई भी आंदोलन, कोई भी विचार , कोई भी संगठन, कोई भी धर्म सफल होता है सामयिक होने के कारण। टाइमलीनेस! वह अपने समय की जरूरत पूरा करता है, तो सफल होता है।
लेकिन यही उसका खतरा भी है। क्योंकि सभी आंदोलन समय से बंधे होते हैं; लेकिन समय तो बीत जाता है, आंदोलन छाती पर बैठे रह जाते हैं।
अब दुनिया में तीन सौ धर्म हैं। इनकी कोई जरूरत नहीं है, तीन सौ धर्मों की। आज एक धर्म काफी हो सकता है। लेकिन हो नहीं
सकता, क्योंकि ये तीन सौ धर्म तीन सौ अलग-अलग समय में पैदा हुए । समय तो जा चुका, धर्म का ढांचा कायम है। और जो उसको पकड़े हुए है, वे कहते हैं कि हम इसको छोड़ेगे नहीं। हमारे पुरखों ने…। उन्हें पता ही नहीं कि उसकी सफलता ही यही थी कि वह उस समय के उपयुक्त था। आज वही उसकी असफलता बनेगी, क्योंकि आज वह समय के उपयुक्त नहीं है। उसकी उपयुक्तता ही यही थी कि उस दिन के वह काम का था।
बुद्ध ने जो कहा है, वह पच्चीस सौ साल पुराने काम का है। अगर आज उसे ठीक वैसा ही कोई कहे चला जाए , तो उसे जीवन के तर्क का कोई पता नहीं है। महावीर ने जो कहा है, वह पच्चीस सौ साल पहले की भाषा है। वह सफल हुआ इसीलिए कि उन्होंने सामायिक भाषा का उपयोग किया।
यह लाओत्से खुद सफल नहीं हुआ; इसका आन्दोलन सफल नहीं हुआ। बिकाज ही स्पोक इन दि लैंग्वेज ऑफ टाइमलेसनेस, इसलिए सफल नहीं हुआ यह आदमी; यह ऐसी भाषा बोला, जो शाश्वत है। जब कोई शाश्वत भाषा बोलेगा तो आंदोलन नहीं चला सकता।
आंदोलन कराना हो तो समय की भाषा बोलनी पड़ती है, उस समय के लिए जो समझ में आ सके। लेकिन लाओत्से जैसे लोग आन्दोलन नहीं चला सकते। ठीक वह जानता जरूर है लेकिन कि आन्दोलन की सफलता उसकी सामायिकता में है। और लाओत्से भलीभांति जानता है कि उसके वश के बाहर है कोई आंदोलन चलाना। वह जो बोल रहा है, वह शाश्वत है।

What the Buddha has said is of twenty-five hundred years old work. If today he is told exactly the same way, then he has no idea about the logic of life. What Mahavir has said is the language of twenty five hundred years ago. He succeeded because he used the periodical language.
This Laotse himself did not succeed; Its movement was not successful. Spoiled in the language of timelessness, therefore this man did not succeed; It spoke such a language, which is eternal. When someone speaks eternal language, then movement cannot run.
If you want to agitate, you have to speak the language of time, for that time which can be understood. But people like Laotse cannot run the movement. Surely he knows but that the success of the movement lies in its timeliness. And Lao Tzu knows very well that he has a movement outside his control. What he is speaking is eternal.
