लाओत्से कहता था, जब तक मैंने सत्य को खोजा, तब तक पाया नहीं। जब मैंने खोज बंद कर दी और बहना शुरू कर दिया, उसी दिन मैंने पाया कि सत्य सदा मेरे पास था। मैं खोजने में अटका था; इसलिए दिखाई नहीं पड़ता था। लाओत्से कहता था, मैं एक सूखे पत्ते की तरह हो गया। हवा जहां ले जाती, वहीं जाने लगा। बस उसी दिन से मेरे अहंकार को कोई जगह न रही। उसी दिन से मैंने जान लिया,परम सत्य क्या है। उस दिन के बाद कोई अशांति नहीं है। सब अशांति खोजने की अशांति है। सब अशांति कहीं पहुंचने की अशांति है। सब अशांति कुछ होने की अशांति है। श्रद्धावान, जो है, उससे राजी है; जहां है, उससे राजी है; जैसा है, उससे राजी है।
लाओत्से कहता है, यदि हम छोड़ सकें अपने को, जैसा स्त्री छोड़ देती है प्रेम में, ऐसा ही अगर हम जगत अस्तित्व के प्रति, परमात्मा के प्रति, ताओ के प्रति अपने को छोड़ दें, जैसे हम उसके आलिंगन में छूट गए हों, तो हम जीवन के सत्य के निकट सरलता से पहुंच जा सकते हैं।

All disturbance is the disturbance of something. Shraddhavaan is persuaded of what he is; Agree with where it is; Agreed as it is.
Lao Tzu says, if we can leave ourselves, as a woman leaves in love, just like if we leave ourselves to the existence of the world, to the divine, to the Tao, as if we were left in his embrace We can easily reach the truth of life.
