क्योंकि नंबर दो मुझे कोई भी नहीं रख सकता। क्योंकि मैं आखरी नंबर पर ही खड़ा रहा हूं। मैं कतार में सबसे पीछे ही खड़ा था।
उससे पीछे करने का कोई उपाय न था। इसलिए मुझे कभी कोई पीछे करने में समर्थ नहीं हो सका।
यह बड़ी उलटी बात लगती है। लेकिन ठीक यही है। जो पीछे ही खड़ा है, उसे पीछे करने का कोई उपाय नहीं हो सकता। लेकिन जो
आगे खड़ा है, उसके आगे खड़े होने में ही उसने वह सब व्यवस्था कर रखी है, जो उसे पीछे कर देगी। असल में, आगे खड़े होने के लिए जिन सीढ़ियों का उसने उपयोग किया है, उन्हीं सीढ़ियों का उपयोग उसे पीछे करने के लिए कोई और करेगा।
सिंघासन का मतलब यही है कि जब उस पर कोई चढ़ेगा, तो लाखों लोग उतारने को, धकाने को, उसकी जगह बैठेने को आतुर हो जाएंगे। नहीं तो उसे कौन सिंहासन कहेगा ? जिस पर बैठे हुए आदमी को कोई उतारने को उत्सुक नहीं है। आप बैठते ही इसलिए हैं की वह जगह ऐसी है, जहां न मालूम कितने लोग बैठना चाहते हैं। आपके बैठने में जो रस है, वही रस दूसरों को आपको नीेेचे उतारने का
रस है। वह साथ-साथ, संयुक्त है।
और लाओत्से कहता है, तुम हमें नीेेचे नहीं उतार पाओगे, क्योंकि हम वहां बैठे हैं, जिसके नीेेचे और कोई जगह ही नहीं होती। हमारा सिंहासन सुरक्षित है।
यह लाओत्से उलटी बात को जानता है। और उलटी बात को जान लेना इस जगत में परम ज्ञान का सूत्र है।

The meaning of Singhasan is that when someone climbs on it, millions of people will be eager to take off, to bang, to sit in its place. Otherwise who will call him the throne? No one is eager to take off the man sitting on it. You are sitting because this is the place where no one knows how many people want to sit. The juice in your sitting, the same juice to let you down
It is juice. They are united, together.
And Lao Tzu says, you will not be able to take us down, because we are sitting there, which has no other place. Our throne is safe.
This Laotsse knows the opposite. And knowing the opposite is the source of ultimate knowledge in this world.
