लाओत्से कहता है कि धौंकनी जब खाली हो लोहार की, तो ऐसा मत समझना की शक्तिहीन हो गई। खींचेगी वायु को भीतर, फेकेगी वायु को बाहर। वह जो खालीपन है, वह भरे होने की तरफ एक कदम है। लेकिन हमें खालीपन में सिर्फ खालीपन दिखाई पड़ता है,और भरेपन में सिर्फ भरापन दिखाई पड़ता है।
